Overall I found it to be like most Koontz books, in that they are good but never quite joontz great. The movies does lose some impact in the 2nd half as the character of Yates descends into a caricature of koonz.
There are many threads left unanswered, and the Big Bad is never addressed. I am currently reading another of his novels The Taking and find that this, too, is interjected with out-of-place statements and claims that one would only find spew from the mouth of a fundamentalist Christian or Muslim.

In the history of aviation, there have been only 14 of them: I felt the ending was terrible. I was mechanically reading just to get through this.
I was really enjoying this book. Reading the synopsis made this sound like your typical thriller novel.
The sky is deep, the sky is dark. A medical reseracher teams with a retired doctor to root around in the genetically solr memories of a serial killer. Book ratings by Goodreads. The boy child they have in custody can control anyone and destroy them. Another experiment, SSW, has the power to telepathically see, and know things through looking at pictures of places, also being able to control the koonts of living beings in that area.
The philosophy of the novel seems rather pessimistic first impression. But incredibly, Joe discovers one woman walked away unhurt from the disaster, with a secret that will change the world.
A List of Movies I’ve Seen. Koontz as usual can develop wonderful shrvivor that you really care about.
I can’t go into details because I don’t want to include spoilers but why something that had happened only a few pages previously couldn’t be repeated with ease made no sense. Feb 15, Deyth Banger rated it it was amazing Shelves: A haunting thriller of mystery and conspiracy. He approaches her and sets off a series of events that make him question if the death of his family and others was the intentional work of officials attempting to cover up something that could possibly change mankind for all time.
It is about a woman named Rose, who is being pursued by a company called Teknologik. Anyways, it’s a good book overall, very creative and extremely imaginative so kudos to Dean for being so open minded. But I am mistaken, because the novel, predictably ends with “hope”.

It seemed like the beginning of a series but I don’t see any other books linked koonts this one so Survicor hoping someone out there can help me figure this out or at least help me clear up the ending.

Any book that can keep me on edge like this one did and make me care so much about a character gets my recommendation. Based on the novel. Here, at the end of the novel, the hero and the child escape from the boy’s power This was on par for being a 4 star book.
