These are the kinds of difficult questions that Sarah asks, and the ones she begins to answer so beautifully. The male best friend always falls in love with someone new and foreign to him. Jazz and Maude quickly became favourites. Global warming has devastated the entire planet, and oxygen levels are at an all time low. Open Preview See a Problem? How is that possible if there’s not even enough Oxygen to breathe, if there are no plants to produce the Oxygen? Her feelings for Abel darah really surface deep, and I know that she suffers from the lost of her parents, but I didn’t really see that from her. Bea, who is an auxiliary, and also Quinn’s best friend happens to be in love with him Can we say love triangle? If hreathe in the mood for a great dystopian read Under The Never Sky instead!!!

Many of its competitors see a world devastated by war or a virus or some other disastrous event, but Breathe looks at a slow, anthropogenic slide into dystopia. Whether crossan not I believed in the story is beside the point. Most of the time he’s clueless about everything and the only thing he cares about are girls.

This could go far. She’s quiet but brilliant. I would recommend to anyone that loves ‘Under the Never Sky’. Bad science, insta-love, flat characterizations, and ludicrous focus on certain aspects of the story really killed the experience nreathe me. She dreams of a better life but the odds are stacked against her. Whether I want to admit it or not, this book had my attention. A resistance group is trying to replant the Earth and reduce dependence on the Pod, but Breathe and the Pod Minister will stop at nothing to crush them.

I think the character priorities aren’t realistic for the world that is established here, and it shows. Bea is his Auxiliary best friend who spends a lot of time gazing at him longingly.

But it was just till the middle of the book which is good, cause i’m getting tired of those love triangles. He has good intentions but no real understanding of the life led by Auxiliaries or of what the Resistance are fighting for.

Breathe : Sarah Crossan :

I want books that tell a different story, have different kinds of characters. I could definitely see the author had tried her best with them. Ik heb enorm genoten van het herlezen van Breathe. I definitely thought Quinn was the bravest character. A chapter or two in his perspective showing his confusion at the change of feelings would have made it more gradual and a little more believable but all in all it was sweet and the ending was a hooking climax.

This is an amazing story and I’m so excited that there will be a sequel. For kids who love sci-fi and dystopian novels. HardcoverFirst Editionpages.

Breathe Book Review

Greenwillow Books Publication date: Suspenseful survival story will grip teen readers. The action scenes were well made if not a bit far fetched sometimes.

Bea, a level 3 sub, wants so badly to be a Premium, and is in love with a Premium. But through the tough situations she faced, she demonstrated she could be a fierce fire cracker when necessary. And of course, there is the resistance, advanced technology and wastelands to complete the package.

But despite all the action, reveals and all I still found this story rather flat. Thank you for your support. What would happen to the people who couldn’t afford to have it, since trees are said to have become extinct and only the wealthy, who control the production of the oxygen, can afford to “buy” their sustenance?

She has a story and she tells it. Is it any good? B Imagine a world where oxygen is lacking. Of course she was a badass and of course she was feisty and of course she was beautiful and of course everyone loved her.
