What other dangers was she facing? I know it’s about a childish character but the writing seemed on the level of a children’s story too!
Some of the imagery is particularly unsettling, especially that regarding children, with sections that reminded me of Nazi concentration camps. Pellinor Series Book 3 Hardcover: But oh what an adventure it was.

He was only a side character in the first two books. Even from the blurb I can’t remember much. That has Garth Nix written all over it. He is the solid point around which everyone moves, and he does far more than fill the role of mentor and father to Hem. If not, maybe I should suggest it to them. Book Two of Pellinor Croggoh Series. My feeling at the end of The Riddle was an urgency to continue alispn to find out what was going to happen next – only to discover I had to wait for book 4 to read anything further about Maerad!
Alieon really like the characters, but other than that, I really couldn’t care less. The children are mostly evacuated from Turbansk.
